Ski Day

Last week we headed to the slopes of Michigan for a little skiing and snowboarding! The conditions were great and we had an absolute blast! We are glad we went last week instead of this week because the temps right now are -13 with a windchill of -31! Annalise's new word whenever she goes outside is now "Brrr". On top of the -31 windchills we have about 2 feet of snow on the ground. Guess this is what living in Michigan is all about. Here are a few photos from our ski trip and the snow!

Mini Van

Most of you that know me are probably pretty shocked to hear that I actually got a mini-van . . . yes, I have finally succumbed to the reality that our family continues to grow and have purchased a vehicle that we can now all comfortably fit in. Believe it or not we actually are really enjoying the extra space and were blessed to get the van for a great deal. Jonathan's favorite part of it is the power sliding door which he "must" push each time he gets in or out of the vehicle. Here is a photo of our van . . . we are praising the Lord for His provision.

Back from Vacation

This past week we were blessed to be able to get away for a week in Northern Michigan for some rest and relaxation. God provided a beautiful place for us to stay (for free) and the weather was absolutely beautiful (however, Victoria thought it was a bit chilly . . . but again, she is from the "toasty" South). The highlights from our vacation included beach time with the kids, golfing along the shores of Lake Michigan, biking on beautiful trails, and just being together as a family. We've posted some photos below for you to enjoy!

Aaron and Byron at one of their golfing excursions. The view was, shall we say, a bit distracting. However, it was a good excuse when you hit a bad shot to say the view was "distracting".

Launch of NEW Podcast

Over the past few months Aaron has been working on developing a podcast focused on helping Christians renew and refresh spiritually. On July 2nd, Aaron and his team launched this new weekly podcast on both LifeAction.org and iTunes. You can listen to the latest episode by visiting www.LifeAction.org/infuse. Our prayer is that this podcast will challenge the spiritual walk of believers and draw them closer to our Lord Jesus. Helping Christians "PAUSE"

As the iMedia Director of Life Action Ministries, I have the privilege of overseeing the ministries Interactive Media Group (iMedia Group for short). The iMedia Group produces the print, internet, audio, and video resources for the ministry and also seeks ways to communicate the message of revival through technology. God has put together a team of 10 individuals that I have the privilege of leading and serving alongside. I believe leveraging media and technology to communicate the message of revival has the potential to have a major impact on the spiritual health of Christians.

One of the highlights from this Spring has been the release of our latest issue of Spirit of Revival magazine with the theme of “Pause”. As an iMedia Group our team is responsible for the creative direction, design, printing, and media integration for this magazine. The magazine has over 50,000 subscribers and we are excited to hear how God is using this issue to help individuals “pause” and re-prioritize their life. Many of you may have already received this issue. I pray it has been a blessing and challenge to your life. This issue has been a challenge to my own life as I often find myself living in “fast forward.” With the influx of instant and high speed everything, pausing long enough to give adequate attention to those things in life which are most important sometimes is hard to do. One statement in this issue says “Making room for Him is what revival is all about.” The reality is that spiritual refreshing in our lives will never begin until we hit “pause” in our everyday life and make room for God. Maybe you like me are running in “fast forward”. Will you join me in making a conscious effort to pause? Let’s be sure we are making room for Him.

A 16 Mile Hike

Recently I embarked on a 16 mile backpacking trip over 3 days in southern Indiana. It wouldn't have been so bad but we each had to carry 35 pound packs with all our gear! Besides receiving 4 inches of rain the day before, the 30 degree nights, and the dried food, we had a great time on the trip!
